No spoilers from me in this little blurb here, but WOW. WOW. WOW. Didn't see this coming AT ALL 🤣
Just when I think things are going to be okay at least with some people... well, there goes the rug from under my feet!

And now that I'm finished...
"I love Willow and Oz. I adore them so much." Juliette

I'm guessing by now you've learned your lesson. In the Buffyverse, we can't have nice things.

Okay, Juliette, I'm listening to your thoughts at the start of this one, and I had to stop where you guessed that Spike and Buffy would try to stop Angel.
Holy crap. How the... How did you do that? How'd you call the Spike and Buffy teamup?! Thou art a witch. Dru would be proud of your precognitive powers. LOL
All right, seriously, I love this episode, and I can't wait to watch.

The primary reason why Buffy stayed so popular for so long is that from start to end it never failed to defy expectations, and this episode does it so well.
I know you are not doing too many movies, but your reaction to this episode reminded me of an excellent movie, An American Werewolf in London. Sure, it's a werewolf movie, but it, too has great humor and romance and a defiance of expectations. It could easily have been made into an episode of Buffy.

I didn't link Oz's puberty changes to the werewolf but now that I think about it, it does make sense! This is all new to him, and I can totally see how the change is happening now as he is maturing. Great catch! Thank you for letting me know!!

I rather like how in this episode the "bad guy" isn't a monster, but someone _hunting_ a monster.
Oz turning into a werewolf is a pretty obvious metaphor for the changes we go through during puberty. This is one of the things the show does so well: taking real issues of young people and making them larger than life by throwing in a supernatural metaphor.

I truly had NO IDEA about Oz. I loved the surprised, but I hope he's going to be okay. Willow can just chain him up once a month and it will all be fine, hopefully! I am curious about how often we will see Oz in his wolf form... They can't milk it too much, but I do hope we see it at least once! MAYBE he will get stuck as a werewolf!!
Xander's homophobia was, I guess, to be expected given it was the 90's and he is a fairly immature teen boy. It felt a bit awkward to me so I didn't really leave too much of that in the YouTube edit, but I did quite like Larry and I love how he's turned a corner! It would be such a big deal for him!!

As much as I like Xander he's driving me nuts the way he's treating Cordilia. Sure she has lots of faults but she is smart, witty, one of the hottest girls in the school and amazingly tolerant of Xander's behavior so far. That boy needs to wake up and appreciate what he has instead of obsessing over what he doesn't. I always enjoy the minor characters popping up in the school like Larry. We see so little of him and yet we see growth in his character and in some of the others as time goes on. It makes the high school seem a little more real. I love your long term speculation on how the season may go, it will be interesting to see how things unfold. Not enough reactors give such detailed predictions.

Not Julie calling Oz a *good boy" for trying to put on the chains as if he was a real puppy dog😆 Bruh I'm done 😅
Props to you for not mentioning the rather, uh... obvious... costuming of the stuntman in the giant racoon suit playing the part of the werewolf. But also props to the directors for being aware enough to try and hide what they could with lighting and stunts much like they did back in "Teacher's Pet." Whatever, I'll still always defend stuff like that as part of the the series early low-budget charm rather than any sort of negative. But as always I appreciate you not taking us out of the moment by pointing stuff like that out or poking fun at it.
And also props to the writers and David B's acting, the moment we see him bump into Marcy on the sidewalk, never mind when he starts being all fake nice, just immediate creeps😬
Middle of season 2 and things sure are starting to heat up, huh boss?

Not much to say about this one personally. It's a good one of course. A great twist with Oz being the werewolf. I liked the reveal that Larry has been acting out because he's hiding the fact that he's gay. Xander's homophobia is not unexpected. Especially given the times this was made.
Everyone's love lives are getting more complicated. Xander and Cordy are dating I guess? So are Willow and Oz. Giles and Jenny are on the rocks and Buffy goes and has a little moment with Xander after he saves her. Too complicated. :D
