I really enjoyed this one. The characters are beginning to make more sense to me and I'm starting to get favourites though I will admit... they are ALL my favourite!
Willow is so sweet and kind! She is honestly a gem.
Buffy is so tough, funny and beautiful! She's very strong willed and a little stubborn at times, but she has to be, I think.
Xander seems to be a bit of a ladies man but with mostly eyes for Buffy! He's sweet, but kind of immature right now... He's only young, so it's understandable. I've been wondering if he'd make a good pairing for Buffy, but I don't think she sees him in that way.
Giles is FUN (which is a weird way to describe him). He's charming.... must be because he's British!
Cordelia is the one I love to hate! She is a typical mean girl and reminds me a lot of Jayne's character.
And there's Angel... Who is that guy? His name makes me think he's sent from Heaven, but I'm sure we will find out in time. He seems to be a bad boy.... A hunter? He intrigues me!

Agreed :) I didn't mean to say that season 1 is bad, it's great, but compared to the rest of the series it's probably on the bottom of my rankings :)

Although season 1 holds a special place in my heart for any number of reasons, within my own personal rankings of strongest to weakest it's certainly not at the top. Either way I'll say again that I think you're in for a real treat with this series.

I wasn't sure if it was like the Firefly recap thing where everyone was surprised that it had a recap, so I've been cutting it out of these reactions! Now that I know it's normal, I'll leave it in ๐คญ I'm so sorry! I feel I've made a real blunder out of this one with cutting out that part, and not having an intro screen. 2023-02-10 06:59:19 +0000 UTCI'm curious Juliette, does the version of the show you're watching not have the lead-in with the guy saying "In every generation there is a chosen one blah, blah, blah" or are you just cutting that bit out as it's not relevant? I have two different versions of Buffy, and both versions have it. Maybe there's more versions floating around then I realised! Anyway, thanks for getting these reactions out, I'll be watching this after work today.

Without spoiling anything, don't count Cordelia out just yet. :) Oh and I love how regularly you post :D 2 buffy eps already is such a treat

I haven't actually edited any more for the Patreon page, but the intro and outro would just be the same as what would be on the video for YouTube. I hope that's okay! I have the outro with my thoughts on the end of this video though but I just didn't think anyone would want an intro on these full reactions as my intros are usually very short to get straight to the point as a general preference. I can start recording a separate intro for Patreon if others also want that? As for my predictions, I don't know anything other than the title, so I don't think I would know a lot haha ๐คญ Edit: I'm editing the third episode now for YT and I think what I normally like to do is offer some predictions during the intro credits song as by then I know a tiny bit about what's to come! I'll keep doing that as I like being wrong ๐คฃ

2023-02-10 03:25:25 +0000 UTCAt the risk of overhyping it, if you enjoyed Firefly then I think you'll really be in for a treat with Buffy. The degree and depth of character development over the course of the series is really remarkable. I don't want to get to much into it now for spoilery reasons but I'll just say that I think you'll come to love all of as much as you do the characters on Firefly, good qualities and bad. If I can make another suggestion you may want to consider a bit of a lead-in with just you maybe talking about what happened last episode, some predictions for the one you're about to react to etc that maybe culminates in a short countdown to you pressing play so that we're all able to get synced up at the same time. I understand of course that you've probably got at least a few of these pre-recorded at this point, including all the Firefly, but just something to consider going forward. And then perhaps a quick outro along those same lines, what happened, what you thought etc. Looking forward to the next one, cheers๐
