If you’re an old man like me, you memorized a shit ton of the dialogue and you would meet people from other parts of the country and find out THEY would know all the dialogue too. Alex Cox is a great Hollywood weirdo. “I installed a two way mirror in his house in Brentwood.” “The more you drive the less intelligent you become.” “Otto... pahts!” (Loud laughter). So many funny little bits in every scene... for example, they’re in a hospital and someone pages a William S. Burroughs character over the intercom. IMO the only thing that aged poorly is Keith Morris complaining about people on welfare who drive Cadillacs.
