So It's The End of October...

... and therefore time for another journal.

It’s been a strange month, but I hope you have enjoyed the content.  I initially returned here because I needed to do something so I didn’t go spare from the chaos that went on in my country, given the Royal Passing (which totally suspended reality for 10 days here in the UK), and the budget that was then quickly followed by a scandal and then the musical chair situation…

And I’m dealing with some personal stuff, so fun was had, wheeee.

Still, the facsimile of having some sort of ‘control’ in my life by focusing in on something I could directly affect helped me cope.  Maybe not perfectly, but it’s better to produce something beyond regret over wasting working hours moping, right?

I’m still not 100% sure what is going to happen before the end of the year, given how what this platform proposed back in August has not yet transpired (correct as of the time of writing this, 29th October 2022).  Perhaps the de-valuation of the company may have something to do with it..?  It does seem odd that the blog itself only recently acknowledged how hard-done-by content creators feel.

So for the moment, I’ll just continue on the best I can as normal.   So no, I will not be freezing my Patreon for November.

I do apologise for not following through on updating both Flora-Fauna-Fen SURVIVE and Infurlation Redux; I was trying to find my ‘rhythm’ again with Poking Around and short of a last-minute rewrite, was trying to get my ‘groove’ back. It’s not as if the upcoming games are giving me much material to work with…

Anyway, I’m hoping to redress the balance once I can use my drawing hand properly again.  As of writing this entry, I’m not really keen on opening up for more commissions, especially as I’ve got a big one taking me quite some time to complete.  But if push comes to shove, then… we shall see.  No commitments.

As always, I’ll keep people informed of any developments I hear of – maybe not here, but elsewhere, if you know where to find me.  It is a pretty ugly era in which we live after all.

And that’s pretty much it for now.
