Yeast Expands…

Growmon is a bit of an oddity in the franchise. In the third iteration (known in the US as Tamers), Guilmon was an imaginary creature created by the series protagonist Takato, inspired by his fascination with monsters and the (in-universe) card game featuring the digi-creatures. And it became real. Guilmon then learned to evolve into Growmon and got a fair bit bigger but in a series first, was unable to revert back to its smaller form (Episode 9). And it likes bread. And eating a lot.
Anyway, that’s what served as the inspiration for this piece, though this one is not explicitly Takato’s. And that’s all I can remember to be honest; the series was vaulted by the Mega Mouse Corp over here in England so I never saw the end of it.
