Good tidings to you, irrespective of the time zone you live in.

I write this on the morning of 30th April 2020. 

Given the extraordinary circumstances we are all in right now, thank you so very much for continuing to support me throughout April. It can’t be easy for a lot of people right now, with so much mental, physical and financial uncertainty. As iterated earlier in the month (or was it last month?), should there come a time that the apron strings need cutting (hence that illustration yesterday), then please do not hesitate to do as such. 

One’s own fiscal security should always take precedence over everything else.

However, if you choose to continue to support me then a) of course, I’m grateful for the ongoing support and b) I’ll continue to provide the best content I can for you; a modicum of relief, a quantum of solace, if you will.

On that vein, I do apologise to both the Wolf-Fam and VIPatrons for failing to fulfil those respective tiers this month. The commissions I opened up in February took me a really long time to complete. By the time I was finished and could fully commit to Patreon again, it was already mid-April. Add in the burnout, frustration regarding the pandemic, the usual end of/beginning of month ennui cycle… yeah, not a good mix.

The good news is that thanks to you Patrons (and commissioners, some of whom just happen to be Patrons, so double thank you), I’m able to make May my first full-on Patreon-art-only month. I’m certainly not going to take on anymore commissions for a while. So please look forward to what I’ll produce. I’ll prioritise both Flawed Fealty Furtherance and the $20 pinnups first since I know what to do for both, it’s just the act of doing it.

I know these journals can sometimes be a load of “nothing” notifications in your e-mail (especially if you’re subbed to several Patrons who work a lot faster/more professionally than I do). But I feel radio silence is worse. And since I’m split between here, Twitter, Discord, FA, DeviantArt and Picarto, I don’t blame some people for thinking I just disappear after putting up one or two posts or something. 

But as I’m beginning to blather, I’ll stop there. I’ll think about what to do for the pin-ups for May and I’ll put up a poll regarding what to do regarding Discord. I’ve not really seen or heard anything too big that’s affecting Patreon itself (aside from ill-thought-out marketing campaigns), but I’ll keep you posted the minute I catch wind of anything. 

But there, that’s all I have to say for now.

P.S. Although things are as they are in the real world right now, it looks like some countries are working their way to coming out of lockdown so... we'll see what happens.
