Back into the Swing of Things

So, ... where to start. The work field has been a nightmare for the last while. I have been surviving by doing educational illustrations for a company. They don't pay well but there's lots of work, so if I work about 12 hours a day, six days a week, which is what I've been doing, I can pay rent and bills. Yay. Needless to say, that leaves little time and energy for fun stuff for you all. BUT, I'm trying to make good. Here are the first four rough pages for the first official Yef comic story! If you all like, I'll do more, each one with a different theme and cast of characters. I know a few of you out there who have thrown me some great ideas for a comic and I haven't forgotten them. I'm just doing this first one to get into the swing of things and then, later, we can talk about superheroines and cowgirls.

For this comic, what would you all like to see: all the final pages at once or one by one as I finish them? Just let me know in the comments!

These are just the roughs but I'm up to about page ten now. I tried to keep this shorter but ... you know ... once you get going. Hahahaha! It'll probably wrap up in about fifteen or sixteen pages total.

Wow, what a great start! I'm so excited to see the next pages.

I had a couple artists suggest this as a way to increase support. I've been wanting to do one for a while and thought I would at least give it a try. I'm aiming for around ten pages per story but it's so hard for me to just rush into two characters going at it. I'm all film school about it - pushing character motivations and such. Hahahaha. Woe is me. Jeeesh. As soon as the roughs are done, I'll get to the clean-up and color. Would you rather see them posted together or page by page as they're finished?

oh my gosh a comic! I was not expecting a comic.
