FAF: Ladies of the 80’s—White Queen (Pryde of the X-Men) Full Res

We tend to associate the X-Men with the 90s, but there was that pilot episode released in 1989, which combined the Stan Lee narration style of Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends with the opposing teams of good and evil from the 80’s toy tie ins. Solid animation, and a legendary voice cast including Peter Parker and Bruce Banner voice actors Dan Gilzevan and Michael Bell, other Transformer/GI Joe veterans like Neil Ross, Pat Fraley, and John Stephenson, Earl Boen from the Terminator Films, Skeletor himself Alan Oppenheimer, and Frank Welker who was and continues to be everywhere. Miss Frost herself was voiced by Susan Silo, probably best known to this group as Sandra Shore from Inhumanoids! It would have been interesting to see where this went, but all that ever really came of it was a classic sidescrolling beat ‘em up arcade game. It’s very possible it did pave the way for the classic 1990’s series and it’s critically acclaimed Disney+ follow up, though!
