I had to start using acrylic paint instead of white gel pen for the backgrounds. They run out so fast :(
These things are very simple headshots with white highlights. Simple, yet effective!
Tan paper is one of my favorite things to draw on. The fact that it's a mid tone lets you have a lot more space to make things "pop" and go into deep shadows and bright whites without worrying much. The brown color is pleasant to look at. Even with minimal effort, the images look a lot more 3D than usual :)
