Plans For November
Added 2023-11-01 05:54:48 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
I'm gonna admit, this 100K special has been kicking my ass. I'm just now finishing the script and starting filming, so that should be out soon. Though after the 100K special, November's lineup is going to be the "Anime -Dere" video that recently won the poll, and another Anime Randomizer (this time with a twist!)
The Anime -Dere video is looking to be similar to my deep dive into fanservice and waifus. I want to touch a bit on the history of tsunderes and yanderes and such. Though the actual "point" of the video is probably gonna be centered around databasing. Which, if you don't know, is basically this idea that anime fans in particular are really fond of breaking down everything they consume into different elements, before categorizing each element and kind of enjoying them separately. I touched on this with waifus, and how people just started taking bits and pieces of popular characters like Rei Ayanami and turning them into other anime girls. But it's also tied heavily into tsunderes and how they've become a more Flanderized version of themselves. Also there's a lot of broader aspects that databasing affects too. Things like powerscaling, the cultural disdain for isekai, or even just how popular MAL is. It's an interesting topic, and I want to get into it ASAP.
The Anime Randomizer, on the other hand, is going to be pretty similar to the last ones. Though this time I've made up a sort of bingo sheet of different anime tropes and common things to spin on the wheel, and I'm going to be watching anime until I get a bingo. Which is just a bit of a silly addition to the formula that might make it a bit more interesting than just spinning anime until I feel like I'm done.
Anyways, I guess the final note is that I do want to post on Patreon (and now the website) a fair bit more. The behind-the-scenes and regular updates were getting a bit stale, and I'm not sure how many people were really getting much out of them. But I'm brainstorming ideas for what I can do to spice up the feed here. If you have any ideas, let me know!
As always, I'll see you next time.
