Hey everyone. Video game remakes is coming along nicely. I've rewritten parts of it because I wasn't happy with the first script, but I'm about to record soon.
The video currently covers:
- The dumb words that video game titles add to their re-releases (redux, reloaded, etc.)
- The actual different kinds of re-release (port, remake, remaster) including some fun examples of each and what makes a good one
- The weird way we differentiate remasters and remakes, and my own better way of separating them
- The purpose of making remakes and remasters (why they're important and why the can be pointless)
The video didn't end up being super in-depth, just because I felt the topic wasn't super nuanced. Video games are going to get remastered, and there's pretty clearly good and bad ways to go about it. So instead of getting technical or deep, I wanted to make the video lighter and funnier.
Hopefully it should be out soon. In the meantime, I'm glad the random anime video took off. I'll probably be working on a sequel to that shortly after this is done.
