A lot of what Raziel does in these earlier pages are very much just business. If you get two demons, one's wonky and one's very demony saying they're gonna combine and make bad shit happen, no matter how implausible, then you're presented with a clear way to get rid of them, it's best to just get rid of them. And it sucks and probably feels bad at the time, but it's also the best way to control the system the tiniest bit :D

For once, Raziel (did I remember that right) did something right. Sorry Neri, but the fact is you are a danger to Mommy and Kiddy as long as you're shackled there. YOU aren't the danger and you didn't ask Meatipede to become a danger, but that's where we're at now. Raziel's first priority is to protect the humans (much as he sucks at it), and whether or not that works out for you (even though you DID want off that chain before), this works out best for them. It's not personal, it's business.
