The Acolyte S1E03 Watch A Long

Hey Peaches! We got slightly bamboozled. We thought we'd go hang out with a Wookie Jedi this week, turns out we get to see the Osha/Mae origin story. From a certain Point of View. Who was in the wrong? What really happened?

I woukd argue that by this point in history the Jedi don't have a strong grasp on what balance is.

I agree with Jay and Adam there is more to this ending than we believe. No way could the fire have killed them all. I think the Jedi did something.

I'm really intrigued about what's really going on. So many questions and so little seen - are we getting Mae's viewpoint at some point? Can't wait for more.

This is episode 3 out of 8, there's definitely more pieces of the puzzle to see in upcoming episodes. This whole episode was from the perspective of Osha, there's so many parts that Mae was involved in that we didn't see. There's also the perspective of the Witches & the Jedi, and how Sol got there so quick. The biggest thing online at the moment is how they have 'retconned how the force works', it's shocking to me how people don't want to understand that there are so many different cultures in Star Wars. The perceptions of how the force works, that we have seen the most of is from the Sith & Jedi. We've also seen bits of it from the Nightsisters but we've never seen it from this group of Witches before. I also don't think that this group of Witches are Nightsisters specifically, they seem to be a completely new Coven. Everything Adam was saying was spot on, I was pointing at the screen and saying 'Exactly!!!'. ๐Ÿคฃ

No, itโ€™s canonically established in hard fact that the force itself created Anakin as a means to achieve entropy. Whatever specifically happened with the twins is different

The thing about Anakin is, I thought by this point most people agreed with the theory Palpatine was behind his conception. Which would imply that it is possible to repeat and indeed this might be how the sith learned how to do it

Austin Arminio

The showrunner said this episode is strongly influenced by Rashomon, which you can definitely see in how they executed the unreliable narrator thing with Osha at the end. Canโ€™t wait to find out the real story!

Man, the negativity and just flat out wrongness (especially regarding Anakin, who has absolutely nothing to do with this show and whose story is in no way affected by it) online is staggering. Looking forward to watching it with you guys, yโ€™all are one of the few genuinely kind, empathetic, and positive places on YT.
