Doctor Who S1E02 Watch A Long

Hey Peaches! The Toy Maker was not alone! Turns out he has a family. A family just as powerful as he was. But this time it's not games, it's music. Who would fair better in a world without music, Jay or Adam. The answer won't surprise you.

I loved this episode, and I love how they're expanding on the classic Who villain the Toymaker in intelligent ways. That's a great way to bring back an older threat. I was worried that Toymaker was dealt with too quickly, but if we're getting a whole Pantheon of similar gods? EXCELLENT. However, I didn't like the final song. I don't think it was any better than the fake bad songs they had earlier in the episode.

When I first saw this episode I definitely liked it but had some mixed feelings, but seeing it through your eyes, I think I love it, thank you for giving me that gift

You love tv and film so you must know there are countless beloved scenes and clips everywhere, especially from doctor who, that don't connect to the story. Even long ones. I honestly don't think everything has to. Also, remember when the pantheon (the toymaker/maestro etc) are around their domain stretches out hence why the doctor bi generated. When they are defeated this remains temporarily hence why the tardis could be split as a reward. Its the same for maestro. Music robbed from the world, finally comes back, so a big original doctor who 4th wall breaking song. Arguably story connected. A music themed episode. Just like the toymaker episode was themes on playing games. A good ol' camp time. Which is doctor who in a nutshell. Unfortunately a lot of people see camp as a negative. As a brit who grew up with doctor who and going to pantomimes, an alien concept to me. Edit: Not always the best at wording things so hope that doesn't sound too argumentative. Loved the reaction from you both, really excited for the rest :) The ginger singer btw was Cilla Black who was also a famous presenter and comedian in the UK. The composer in a couple scenes including the song at the end was Murray Gold, the absolute legend who composed most of new who. And the two people it focused on dancing with the doctor and ruby at the end were a professional dancer and judge on Strictly Come Dancing. The British celebrity dancing show still going on that inspired dancing with the stars.

I knew Jay would love the musical number and Adam wouldn't. I've been waiting for this reaction since the episode aired on Saturday and you didn't dissapoint.
