Because it turns out that Bastion's been busy turning a whole lot of people, whom he met on AOL Instant Messenger, into human-Sentinel hybrids. And I mean a lot! And they all activate and storm the X-Mansion. The only good news is that since they're robots it means that our heroes can go all out, and our animators can show all the slicing and dicing!

By the way, they have shown us Prime Sentinels since the first episode! If you look during the X-men/Brotherhood line up you will see a group of people in the middle. It happens so fast we just think they are humans caught between mutants. But if you pause, those are ALL Prime Sentinels! Also, you do get that the "Absolute Points" means no time travel to save Remy... Not only has Season 2 been greenlit, but Season 3 has been as well.

2024-05-04 04:12:31 +0000 UTCFrom what I understand.... They have been Green lit for a season 2 & 3. Also that Season 2 is written. The Caveat is the showrunner Beau DeMayo was "let go" right before X-Men97 came out. Since he was the who came up with the concept for the show, and had his hands in hiring the team. People are concerned that without him the show might be left waiting.
