Adam, you were led down a primrose path to believe what you believed. They are writing the show for the Adams of the world who try to guess the plot and are smart and know the usual tricks in mystery shows for misdirection and they misdirect from the misdirection so that as smart as you are you get a mind-frack as good as Jay gets by just enjoying the unfolding of the mystery. There have been clues all over the place for all the suspects both ovious and super subtle. Review the evidence of what triggers a Hyde, there are two triggers and a suspect that you can associate with each.. In terms of subtle, just because nobody else really covered this in reactions. In the cave where the hyde had been chained W mentions someone had a thing for venison. And when Tyler was in the woods stalking his dad he had coffee grounds and said it was a deer hunting hack (which had no story telling purpose other than to be a super subtle clue). (I've watched too many reactions to this show) And now that you have narrowed it down to a likely suspect you are about to be mind-fracked even more with what you didn't know to suspect because you were too busy either focused on what they wanted you to focus on. Because they're that good.

I don't want to be smarter than the show, I just want to digest what I see and let it sink in through talking about it. I, for example, was full on the Xavier x Therapist are the bad guys trip until the Tyler reveal, precisely because I stopped and thought about it. I let the show guide me through its steps and really try to follow everything.
