Willow S1E04 Watch Along

Hey Peaches! Yo! Last week's episode took a turn as we lost our rogue. And this week...Honestly, I (Adam) can't think of a better use of a flashback in recent memory. Not only was this a good character building episode, but it also was a masterclass on how to tell a sequel. And just the artistry of weaving in old footage to enhance the story on screen. Lots of lore dumps and new mysteries this week. Can't wait to, hopefully, explore that ancient dead city next week.

What a fantastic episode! This is the one that really took off for me. And I loved the medium they used to show what happened in the movie. That was really clever.

I enjoyed the first three eps (more than a lot of folks, it seems) but as far as I’m concerned, this 4th ep absolutely F*CKS. I mean it flat. out. shreds. The flashbacks and callbacks and integration of the past story, the mind f*ckery, the characters moving forward (like y’all said), all of it. And while I am one of the only folks, it seems, who doesn’t mind the modern music that much, I have to agree with Jay, the Black Hole Sun cover at the end of this episode really works. I’d go so far as to say it really blew my hair back. Loved this Ep, glad y’all are still doing these (though I really miss the YT format, never been a big fan of the watch along thing)

I couldn't find that Dolly Parton Black Hole Sun, if you find it send it to me. That would be fantastic, or put it on discord.

Blind Wave just released their reaction to the movie and funny enough, “tooatha” is literally in the movie. So the magic words used, while a little goofy, are totally in line with Willow, which is a little goofy at times. There’s a lot of stuff that just happens in the movie and that’s fine.

I'm sadly getting Wheel of Time vibes. The showrunner is clearly very passionate about the source material, but I feel they lacked the experience to actually pull it off.

Move over, viral argument over the pronunciation of the word “Tupperware,” “basting” is in town

they sort or more or less got over their stuff yay (*cough* kit)

Liked this ep way more than last. I think I’ve adjusted on the tone. It feels like a Critical Roll/Dimension 20 style DnD campaign
