I think Jessica is one of the most interesting characters now. She is an example of what Clark and all Littles can never be, just themselves without any pretense. I feel like she doesn't really prescribe to the idea that Littles mentally regress due to maturosis, rather a theory that I have had that it might be due to them having to live their lives in a perpetual state of "adult". She might be the first person Clark has met (at least that he is aware of) that isn't acting out a sort of role, one where Littles are either 100% adult or baby with no in-between. I took what Jessica said about Clark not having to pretend anymore not as him being a baby, but that he doesn't have to be a guarded perfect adult all of the time. Clark getting weird feeli gs in the store is another example of this in a way, the clothes seemed to be more Little sized clothes then baby clothes. All in all this chapter caused me to have to take a break as it is starting to show that from outside of Clark's guarded, stonewall of a viewpoint, he is far less knowledgeable then he thinks about the world.
2022-03-28 12:46:08 +0000 UTCI love Jessica. Was I hoping she drank breast milk totally, but I knew she really didn’t. She’s definitely an odd duck. I also think she has a thing for Janet. I can’t wait to see what happens on Monday with his teacher. I also can’t wait to see how Janet handles it.
