WIP....

So I have come into a snag with my BIG blender scene project. I guess I should have known this was going to become an issue at some point.

I work on a pretty nice Laptop but still a laptop none the less, So when it comes to high poly my computer starts to lag. Which is why I try so hard to bring you scenes that are low poly because most of you like me, are not working on an Alienware type computer lol.

I have not made it completely to the end of part 2 of the tutorial when my computer starts to lag so bad I can not even move the camera. So I tried a few things...

I tried to append all the assets and put them back in the scene.. That did NOT work

I tried to delete the transparent plain between the hills and big mushrooms. That Did NOT work!

So.... What I finally ended up on, Was to take a render of just the background, The hill I created, The BIG mushrooms, The transparent background and then render JUST that. Then I took that render and brought it on a image plain and set that as the background with the transparent plain in front of it.

I have not finished the tutorial yet so I do not know if having the background hill is very important or not. But At least this way I am able to proceed with moving forward.

You tell me which one you think looks better? Well ofc the render with No transparent background does, but do you think the low Poly with transparent looks close enough to continue? What are your thoughts?

I have not even started on the part three of the tutorial yet, where I begin to animate the scene, so this is why I am having such a hard time deciding how to go forward.

thank you for your comment, I agree the high poly with the transparent background is the best, sadly if I go with that then I can no longer go any further in this tutorial and would have to put the scene out as is, I am trying to find a way to be able to keep adding the lighting I need and then to be able to go through the third part of the tutorial which I haven't even started yet cause I am stuck at the lighting. I have sent a message to the creator of the tutorial hopefully he will get back to me on some tips

I think they all look amazing of course, but If I was just glancing I would say that High poly with transparent background looks the most pleasing. If that would be too much maybe just the highpoly without the transparent background. I do however think that the mushrooms seem to be the focus and with the lowpoly with transparent background, the mushrooms look like they were added on later versus the other versions where the mushroom looks more part of the scene? It's like the background also changes the atmosphere just a tad bit. I think if you are going for more dark and mysterious opt for the "High Poly with Transparent Background" and more of a spacy theme where you can really see all those colors in the sky, go for the "High Poly Without transparent Background". Maybe it's just my laptop lol but that's my opinion on it. I think it all looks amazing regardless <3 so whatever works for your computer and look you are going for.
