I do intend to keep it as subtle as possible, but it's a crucial little detail. That panel has so many layers already. Viv turning her back on someone she doesn't know as well as she thinks, and implicitly trusts. The implication that Ellie has her own key. Ellie being "invited" in and not immediately dispatching her "host." Gosh, I just fucking love that panel.

The biggest takeaway is that Ellie is a hydro homie and therefore isn’t /that/ bad.

But contained here, even for new folks, those 3 things in my mind should spark something considering what we saw in Part 1. She's turning her back on a killer, and evidently has comfortably had her over before.
