Nah im pretty sure pseuds is a shorterned insult of "pseudo-intellectual', a 'suit' is what you'd call an uppity jobsworth

'Mug', very common insult in Britain

Itβs a great bit with Super Hans but what makes it even funnier that you missed is that Mark had predicted this scenario which is why he had it ready by the door waiting π€£

Apparently he said pseuds, like suits but as in pseudo-intellectuals: thats what one of the commenters said anyway, it sounds plausible.

I read books like that but I had to read alot of simpler books and look up a lot of easier words before I was able to: I disagree with Mark that you can just understand it suddenly by sheer willing yourself to read on, people should be habituated to using dictionaries when reading, thats the only way that a person's reading level can gradually advance.

Wait, hang on King...Have you read a book that is 3,720 pages long?

Take a look at the work of one of England's finest thespians Danny Dyer for artistic uses of the phrase You Fackin' Mug, you Mugging me off?! Etc..

Is that the Nether Zone one? Brilliant.

I've walked from Windsor to London along the Thames. It's at least 20 miles to the outskirts of London. I'm guessing Super Hans did more like 30.

he called him a "mug". As in; "you fucking mug".
Superhans got addicted to the running because he replace crack endorphines with running endorphines :')

Yeah Iβm sure we did those averages in GCSE maths , one thing that came in handy. Unlike pythag π€

It's weird how wholesome that ending was with Mark and Jeremy, which is odd given that was it preceded by 'CRACK' and dildo talk, and being sworn at by a twat. That's Peep show though :D
As soon as I saw you were reacting to Peep Show, I was wating for the "Crack" moment. Marvellous.

I think he said Pseuds. It's short for pseudo-intellectual.

"Mug" is an extremely common insult here. Im quite surprised you've not come across it as often. It has a couple different contextual meanings.

Pseuds but a play on suits....And mug: someone easily fooled...Hence Superhands hallucination: "give up the crack son: (its a) mugs game"

As a maths geek (at risk of sounding like a pseud), the joke about using the median because of Sting throwing out the mean for everyone else is pure gold!

Ben (the baldy twat, no offence to fellow baldies) storms out saying 'pseud', short for pseudo-intellectual. The fact that Ben is the biggest pretentious semi-intelligent tosser in the room, makes it funnier.

Mark and Jez live in Croydon, which is in south London. Itβs almost exactly a marathon distance from Windsor, which is just east of Greater London, in Berkshire

I think Ben calls them pseuds, as in pseudo-intellectuals but I donβt think Iβve ever heard anyone use that terms irl
Elliot Langhorn
2023-10-14 15:48:43 +0000 UTC
Mug is just a general insult, bit like calling someone a loser but worse. To be βmugged offβ is to be humiliated, owned etc.
Elliot Langhorn
2023-10-14 15:48:10 +0000 UTC
King Boomer, the two words. Mug - stupid and easily deceived by other people. Bunch of suits - boring, corporate people.
Benny101
2023-10-14 15:43:19 +0000 UTC
Mug can be a general insult but it's more specifically someone gullible who is easily fooled.
You can also "mug someone off" which is to make them look a fool.

2023-10-14 15:38:41 +0000 UTC
MUG - an idiot.
PSEUDES - pseudo-intellectuals.
You're in for a treat with the next episode. Easily in my top three.
SJB
2023-10-14 15:36:27 +0000 UTC
Mug - can use just like a muppet, but generally more derogatory. The other word was Pseuds, meaning intellectually pretentious, etc.

βIt may not be the best episode but that was the best moment.β
This is all episodes after S5 for me. Theyβre not great as complete episodes anymore but still contain a lot of individually great scenes and quotes.
