Hello, everyone!
I'm back with another development update. I know it's taking a long time, and I appreciate your patience. Looking back, I'm not sure where all the time went... I'm happy with what's already been done, but I'm also quite unhappy about the slow progress. I think I'll have to admit that I'm a bit burned out 😰 My day job is killing me, which is not unusual for this time of year. I'm very much looking forward to the Christmas holidays so I can recharge my batteries.
That said, I've found a strange way to procrastinate: thinking about future projects! As the story of Gynocracy slowly nears its end (there should be multiple endings depending on how you play) I can't stop thinking, "If I ever decide to create a sequel, how the hell am I going to do that?" At the same time, I was thinking about a completely new, unrelated game. Then, suddenly, I had an epiphany and combined the two ideas. I repurposed bits of the new game into a Gynocracy sequel, and it just clicked. I'd be sad to let the new project go, but I'm also excited about continuing the Gynocracy universe.
Obviously, it's way too early to reveal anything, but I'll say that it will be a new story with a new protagonist, and it won't take place in Queen's Isle.
What do you think? Would rather see a sequel or an entirely new game? Or both, haha? I actually have one more game idea up my sleeve.
