I fantasise that different spells have different bodily requirements. Like a witch having to turn her nipples in to mouths so she can chant a spell without two other people. Or a witch giving herself extra legs to stand properly in a summoning circle without other people. Or maybe giving herself a snake tail as only snake gods will reply to their own kind.
