Hiatus starts now, sorry
Added 2023-03-23 00:40:47 +0000 UTCI've been struggling with Chapter 58 for the past 3 days, but it's just not gonna happen until I get some serious planning done. I thought I would be able to finish out this mini-arc at least before the hiatus, but as I keep trying and failing to write this chapter, I realize that I need to spend a lot more time planning, and also shoring up the very holey backstories of a couple characters before I can do it. If possible, I'll try to get the planning done by Saturday, since that's when I released the last chapter, and that would make for a week hiatus, but it could be as long as until next Wednesday. Sorry again, but trying to release 58 tonight would probably cause a lot of problems in the story. Thank you for your patience.

I’m usually a perfectionist and I take most things I do way too seriously. I started this series to break out of that mindset and release something that was objectively imperfect, and below my usual standards, and I think I’ve done that mostly successfully. But the longer the series gets, the harder it is to make everything line up properly and make sense, and it’s much harder to make each chapter reach my already lowered bar. Especially since I believe the series is approaching it’s climax, and I don’t want to have any big loose ends or unanswered questions afterward. The coming chapters still won’t be perfect, but with the hiatus, I’ll at least maintain the current quality through the end.
