It's about that time!

I've put together a collection of ten maps to vote on this month, and the two that get the most votes will be re-released under our free commercial license.

That said, there will be a change to this process coming in August. Over the past two years we've slowly declined in patronage by over 20%. So starting in August, we are going to switch how the whole "release the Kraken" commercial releases work - we are going to put them behind a quasi-pay-wall by making them available only to Patrons. So not only will patrons be voting on which maps to re-release under the commercial use license, but those re-releases will only be available under that license to patrons.

We'll still have four commercial releases per month of new maps, but the re-releases will be exclusively for patrons. This will be announced on the blog and social media in the coming weeks.

I'm also considering adding an eleventh map release per month, one that would be non-commercial (personal use only) and be exclusively for patrons and not posted to the blog. That's still up in the air at this point.
