Michael smiled at Matt. Matt, initially a little panicked, soon calmed down. He had already heard Michael's thoughts, so he knew that what Michael said was true. There was no danger, and Michael would let him go and delete his memory of the place.

Matt stopped resisting, and the swallowing process went much more smoothly.

"Are you worried that you will never see me again?" Michael asked with a smile.

Claire was taken aback. She hadn't expected him to guess her thoughts. She hurriedly explained, "I already told my father, but he didn't believe me and told me to stay away from you. But you're my friend and benefactor, so I still want to thank you personally. Do you... do you have time? I want to treat you to a meal!"

"Promise it, promise it, you must promise it!"
