MCU- CH-190. White Phoenix meets The Dragon

Originally, John still envied Bobby for obtaining the Green Lantern Ring, and he had been tirelessly working to master the Eternal Fire.

With his unyielding determination, he had nearly managed to conquer the Eternal Fire completely.

The powers possessed by mutants are inherently unique and defy conventional logic, especially for John, who wasn't originally an Omega-level mutant but became as powerful as one through sheer willpower and risky, unconventional methods.

To ensure he didn't fall behind his good friend and rival Bobby, John pushed himself to his absolute limits.

He didn't expect to be the first person assigned a mission by Luke. Overjoyed, he danced with excitement, and without a second thought, he transformed into a blazing sphere of flame and soared high into the sky.

After all, wasn't his ultimate goal to earn Luke's approval?

There were so many others who could have been chosen, yet he was sent instead. This clearly showed that John was favoured by His Majesty, the God-King.

He felt an intense surge of pride — John was truly on cloud nine!

"Who are you, and what brings you to Dispelia?"

Seeing Wu Fengji, John didn't hesitate to confront her.

Simultaneously, his eyes scanned her up and down.

"You wield the eternal flame of Surtur, the fire giant. Dispelia… is this a new kingdom established by the Asgardians?"

"May I ask if the ruler here is God-King Thor or God-King Loki?"

It was clear that Wu Fengji recognized the Eternal Fire and understood that this powerful force, originally belonging to Surtur, had once been taken by Odin, the All-Father.

Even though she resided in the depths of the universe, she had heard of Odin's death, as well as the succession of Thor and Loki.

So, naturally, she assumed that this planet called Dispelia was a realm established by the new Asgardian kings.

"Hmph! How dare you compare Asgard to Dispelia? If it weren't for our great God-King, Asgard would have been reduced to ruins ages ago!"

"Listen well: in this universe, there is only one God-King, His Majesty — our great God of Dispelia, the one and only True Sun God in the multiverse."

"And I am His Majesty's greatest warrior, Pyro, John Aldes."

Upon hearing Wu Fengji's assumptions, John looked at her with pure disdain.

He glanced at Dispelia, then raised his head proudly and announced Luke's name as a god.

However, he naturally didn't miss the chance to boast about himself.

Although he currently couldn't defeat Jean, Hela, Noor, Storm... and wasn't even sure he could best his good friend Bobby, that didn't stop him from claiming this title first.

"The True Sun God, could it be the same one as before?"

When John mentioned the title of the God of Dispelia, Wu Fengji was puzzled.

But upon hearing "the only true sun god in the multiverse," her mind sharpened, recalling the great upheaval that had shaken the multiverse before.

In that moment, Wu Fengji suppressed the unease in her heart. To confirm her suspicion, she decided to request an audience with the God-King mentioned by John.

"I apologize for my unannounced visit. I am Wu Fengji, the 45th Iron Fist of Kunlun, who journeyed into the universe from Earth hundreds of years ago."

"Would you introduce me to your Divine King? Fengji would be truly grateful."

Wu Fengji introduced herself warmly, then made her request to meet Luke.

"Wait, did you say you're from Earth too? And came to the universe centuries ago?" John was taken aback by her words. He hadn't expected to encounter another Earthling here.

Studying Wu Fengji closely, John felt a peculiar sense of familiarity emanating from her, though he couldn't pinpoint its source.

However, realizing she was also from Earth lessened his hostility toward her. His original excitement for a showdown vanished.

"Also?"

"Are you from Earth as well?" Wu Fengji quickly caught onto John's phrasing.

"Yes, indeed I am from Earth. All of us mutant companions were blessed by His Majesty, the God-King, allowing us to enter His kingdom, Dispelia, from Earth."

At this, John's face brimmed with pride, his youthful exuberance shining through.

"You mean the inhabitants of Dispelia are all mutants from Earth?"

Wu Fengji, having known of the mutant community back on Earth, was surprised to learn they had all relocated to the planet before her.

"Well, since you show no hostility, follow me!"

"Let me make one thing clear: don't even think about causing trouble on Dispelia."

"Otherwise, you will not be able to bear the consequences. And remember, whether our Divine King chooses to see you is his decision, not yours!"

Realizing there would be no battle, John grew uninterested in further conversation with Wu Fengji. He merely warned her before preparing to escort her to Dispelia.

"Rest assured, I have no ill intentions." Wu Fengji replied. Having guessed Luke's true identity, she was certain she wouldn't risk trouble on Dispelia.

"John, bring her to me."

As John landed, he heard Luke's voice resonate in his mind.

Bowing slightly toward Luke's palace with a look of eagerness, John responded, "Yes, Your Majesty, the Divine King!"

"Please follow me! His Majesty, the Divine King, has agreed to see you!"

John's demeanor grew even prouder as he marched forward, chest puffed out, radiating confidence as he passed by others along the way.

Under the continuous influence of Nur, the mutant progenitor, the mutants of Dispelia held an almost fanatical reverence for Luke.

"Damn it, John got ahead of us!"

"Ugh! No, I need to train harder and ensure that His Majesty notices me!"

A group of mutants watched John's proud stride with both envy and frustration.

Upon entering the palace, John set aside his prideful look, replacing it with fervent devotion.

"Your Majesty, I have brought her!"

John gazed at Luke, seated on the grand throne above, with an expression of deep reverence.

"You have mastered the Eternal Fire well. Surtur's lair holds another divine weapon, the Twilight Sword." Luke stated, "When you acquire it, I will grant you the title of God of Fire."

Hearing Luke's words, John trembled with excitement, flames igniting in his eyes.

"Surtur, your fate is sealed!"

In that moment, John had already marked Surtur for death, resolute in his mission.

After watching John leave, his spirit aflame with determination, Luke turned his attention to Wu Fengji, Kunlun's former strongest Iron Fist and one of the White Phoenixes.

Standing below the throne in the vast hall, Wu Fengji felt her entire body stiffen as Luke's gaze fell upon her. She couldn't move, and even the phoenix within her seemed to tremble under his intense presence.
