Upcoming Build, Code Stabilization & Concepts

After the hotfix we decided to put new content on hold and focus on a stabilization cycle. Unfortunately sometimes we put ourselves in a spot where we have to scramble and put together a working build without caring about things like code quality or future maintainability—which results in tech debt. Ignored too long, you often find yourself in a spot where fixing one bug leads to other bugs, and this is something we want to get out of. So we decided to spend the remainder of the year on "cleaning the decks" so we can start fresh:

• Go through our big backlog of community reported bugs and old bug reports, figure out which ones are still relevant and can be reproduced until we have triaged all of them.

• Bunny also worked on improving our in-house tool called Koeki, which we use to automate level design tasks like applying biome templates and decorations—things that GameMaker can't handle easily.

In the mean time I'm oscillating between adding a healthy helping of cream to that interrogation scene, working on boss fights, new animations and environment art:

Heading into 2026

We're planning to start off 2026 with a bang. First of all, I want to bring back streams. 2025 has been a painful and challenging year as an artist, and I ended up stepping away from streaming and social media more than I really wanted. But I really miss hanging out with you and chatting while pushing pixels, and 2026 feels like the right time to jump back in!

So in January I want to go back to streaming on Picarto and possibly Discord. Keep your eyes peeled for an announcement! ^w^
