In the US, some of the most lasting impressions in my school experience were the rainy days where we tuned into a show to sub in for a lesson. Liberty Kids, BrainPOP, and Bill Nye are few stand out ones we watched well into high school. Paywall aside, anything to pad out class time is a good value proposition. Even if the only thing Epoch stands to gain is some exposure, there's nothing better than a captive audience of impressionable young people who are likely going to have a discussion about the content being one of the most interesting events in their school day. If kids enjoy it, then it's that much easier to spoon-feed the takeaway points for an episode. It's made in a vacuum for a vacuum. Edit: And how could I forget Schoolhouse Rock. The real sticking power of this to me is that it's not necessarily talking down to the audience which would otherwise feel incredibly patronizing and the easiest way to lose interest. I just hope these efforts are made in good faith for subsequent episodes.

Doing something like writing a definition of hate speech into law is the job of the legislature, not the court! Of course a court has never defined hate speech, that's not their fucking job. Basically all of right wing media relies on people being poorly educated about how our country works. It's so predatory and gross.

It's a bizarre platform. Similarly, the author of the original Tuttle Twins books, Connor Boyack, runs libertarian think tank The Libertas Institute. He executive produces on the animated adaptation. The Epoch Times has interviewed him numerous times. This connection is undoubtedly why Tuttle Twins is on EpochTV. The Libertas Institute is part of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). ALEC is funded in the billions with the goal of pushing and lobbying for right-wing politicians and legislation. ALEC is where many of the tax loopholes for billionaires were born. ALEC is directly tied to Koch Industries, famous for pioneering environmental destruction and ensuring that corporations can continue to pump pollution into the ocean. These people all work together.
