Pics 226: Night boating on the lake
Added 2025-10-03 21:00:08 +0000 UTCSince releasing DA2 0.70, I had a couple of weeks to work on the next version. Unfortunately, I fell a little under the weather, and now I'm 10 minutes from my personal deadline to get my next post up.
I decided to start with the lake images, since I bought a new lake set. I wanted to get a new boat and water ski props, and was surprised to find there weren't any. The ski itself was a prop that came in a collection of sports props I got over 20 years ago when I first started in 3D rendering. The life jacket and boat wake are new props.
The plot involves renting a boat at night and going skinny skiing under the bright moon.
Until the moon sets behind a hill and it becomes too dark to see anything beyond the lights on the boat.
Then you have to wait for sunrise before you can safely return the rental.
