Pics 49: Romantic Lake

There are about 4 main areas left to re-render since 0.25: The Lake, The Vista, The Cabaret, and the Amusement Park. This week is the lake part 1: the beach with a few select images.
This is the newest version of the one time iconic image of Ariane sitting on the beach wearing nothing but moonlight. I'm using the improved nude model and changed to pose a bit.

Yeah, I think the depth of field effect is good. Also, the difference between this and the original is astounding - as is the capacity of the mind to remember things better than they were. When I only saw the new image, I thought "didn't it always look like that?" Then I opened the original jpg and no, it definitely didn't. :-o

2022-02-06 12:17:10 +0000 UTCI'm trying to mix it up. Parts of the story that focus on Ariane should focus on Ariane, while the parts that focus on the environment should show the environment. For example, the next picture after laketrip1 is where Ariane is commenting about the moonlight and the lake. That one should be fully in focus.

2022-02-04 04:00:33 +0000 UTCI'm on the fence with this. The unfocused background pics look more realistic but you don't get to see the environments as well. Maybe it's just too shallow depth of field. Perhaps you could adjust it on scenes depending on how much focus you wanted to give to the full scene vs the subject? Also, I can't wait for The Cabaret re-render!!

2022-02-04 02:22:48 +0000 UTCAfter looking at the images I uploaded, I decided that they really need "depth of field" (an unfocused background caused by an open aperature on a camera), so I have been re-rendering all the lake pictures I've done so far with depth of field. I reuploaded the same 4 pics with depth of field. Tell me what you think. Improvement?
