Get Lost in the Jungle with Ariane

This months beta update is the first path of Day 2.  The design of this game is mirrored on Date Ariane, where Day 1 is like pre-dinner and dinner, and Day 2 is the post-dinner meat of the game including potentially a sex scene or two.

This is the first of three paths of Day 2, and it contains the craziest puzzle I have ever done by far.  The path goes to a hike in the jungle, but before you know it  the path disappears and there is nothing but jungle.

I created a complicated puzzle that will take somewhere between 2 and 50 clicks to get through, and there are actually 2 versions of the puzzle depending on whether you are a science geek or an outdoors person like Ariane.

On the other side are two surprising destinations to explore.

Please Note: This is a beta test.  Sometimes when I make a puzzle, it is tough to judge if the puzzle is too easy, or too hard.  I would love some feedback.  Include if you are doing the science one or the cairn version, or your opinion on both.

Thanks for the feedback. It's always a balancing act. Since I make the puzzle, I'm a poor judge on difficulty. I'm trying to make it both interesting, but also not impossible.

I did the science one

I found the puzzle to be just trial and error. I didn't see much logic to it, and no real instructions. I want to think my way through a puzzle.

Jay Bushman

Thanks for clearing that up. Love the story so far, you do great work !

This is part 3. First two parts were Day 1, Part 3 is the first path of Day 2 (the jungle hike), Part 4 will be the rest of Day 2 (beach, coral reef, casino), part 5 is day 3. Sorry for the confusion.

Ariane Barnes

Your webpage says you released part 3 to patreons, but I dont see a download link. Did I miss something?

Jay Bushman

Yeah, I think it translates to: Sorry, this is a dead end. #bringbackfuturama

I didn't have any issues with the "jungle maze", although that could have been just dumb luck. (OK, it probably was dumb luck.) And while I would certainly never want to encourage graffiti in such a pristine natural environment, I have to tip my cap to whoever those rock-painting artists were - they clearly have wonderful taste in television shows.
