With the final battle at hand the demon lord sitting on his throne spoke to me.

"How about it, Archmage Kaldrach ? If you betray humanity here and join forces with me now, I'll grant you half of this world."

"...What?"

"Don't be ridiculous. Do you think this fool would fall for such sweet talk by you?"

The one who spoke was the hero, a fool of justice. The warrior and the sage standing next to me want me to hurry up and fight but internally, I'm torn. I mean, seriously? Because the demon king's proposal is extremely attractive.

With both hands rubbing together as if washing away my past, I approached Demon Lord Nyson.

Demon king Nyson who was watching all this in front of his eyes couldn't believe what was happening but after realizing the reality he started laughing madly.

"Haha! As expected. You have made the right choice by becoming my subordinate. Excellent. Archmage Kaldrach."

I cautiously asked Nyson, the demon king. "My Lord... The conditions you just mentioned are real, right?"

"Of course. Archmage Kaldrach, who was the firepower of the hero party, has agreed to become my loyal servant. How could I pass up such an opportunity?"

"Then, please sign at the bottom of this scroll. I am a little nervous about verbal contracts."

As I said this, I pulled out the Scroll from my pocket and extended it toward him. Nyson's triumphant expression hardened as his laugh stopped.

"Th-this?"

"Yes. As long as you sign this scroll, the talent you desire will be recruited into your army."

I smile as I imagine the bright life that would be waiting for me in the future. And the demon King carefully read the penalty for breaking the contract written on the scroll and asked with a hesitant expression.

"Kaldrach thinking about it again I think it was too much to say that I would give half of the world but why don't we start negotiating your salary?"

"Couldn't the great ruler of the demons back up his words?"

"That's not what I mean…"

When I said that and pushed the scroll in front of his face again the demon king let out a sigh perhaps because of his pride but then boldly left his signature on the signature line.


"Very well. What's a little thing like that? Once world domination is complete, I'll grant you your share."

"Indeed, my Lord. Your power knows no bounds. "

Since the demon king will be my boss in the future I looked at my former comrades and sad regretfully with a mocking smile on my face.

"Come on, you should've been more careful about your actions. I get it with the warrior and sage, but what about the priest who had sworn an oath of chastity? Did you think I wouldn't notice?"
