Blubber Beast- Part 1

Battle Beast, or BB, is actually a far more intellectual sort off-camera; tired of the same played out roles, he's hungry for something bigger. Enjoy!

BB paced back and forth across his trailer. The powerfully built, muscular white lion had trade out a stint in bodybuilding for his true passion, acting. A classically-trained, Shakespearean actor, he had dreamed of giving a powerful performance as a Macbeth, or as Marc Antony— and then he fell into the sci-fi and superhero circuit. Apparently, anyone with muscle mass over that of a supermodel was expected to be either a mutant, an orc, or some sort of barbarian overlord. And so he was going over his role, again— a bloody, psychopathic warrior from space. Oh, how far he had fallen. He looked through the script again, his brow furrowing deeper and deeper.

"'Mercy? The only mercy I have for you is in the grave… Battle Beast then sinks his fangs into opponent's neck, licks up the blood and— No." The lion's face soured as he crinkled the script in his hands. "No, no, no, no, no, NO!" He tore through the pages, reducing the script to confetti that fluttered around him.

"I told them, I told them, I wasn't going to bite anyone's head off anymore, I'm done. If they are not going to appreciate or honor any of my demands, then I walk!" the white lion thundered, storming towards the trailer door and throwing it open, startling a gofer standing by.

"You! Get my agent here right now, and tell the director I quit." He slammed the door with a note of finality. A sudden thought struck him, and then he turned around, waving the gofer down before he ran off.

"Wait, wait— scratch that last part. Don't tell the director until after my lunch order is delivered," the lion corrected. Nothing made him hungrier than a righteous rage of indignation, and today the commissary was serving prime rib. He was going to put every dime on the studio's tab before he left, if he could help it— and he would need to eat something anyways, as he went looking for a new agent.
