NGL. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THE REACTION WAS SO GOOD. But also yeah glad u opted to take a break after the first 3 eps ๐ค this season be overwhelming lol. And GOD. RIGHT. BAKUGO AND IZUKUS CHARACTER ARC TOGETHER??? AND HOW THEIR RELATIONSHIP CHANGES WITH TIME IN THE STORY AND HOW FAR BAKUGO HAS COME??? WHAT A WELL WRITTEN CHARACTER. Yeah no it's. It's peak. Bakugo talking about the past and him and deku and admitting why he bullied deku and admitting his own weaknesses and showing/admitting that he cares (even if its just to all might in that moment).... ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ So excited for the next episodes too!! Bakugou, shiggy , toga, and ochako are my favs in this show (so are deku and shouto ans twice but noooot quite at the level of those four weirdly enough) and I'm :)))) enjoying this so much. Also GOD. THE FIRE ANIMATION!!! no pun intended lol. Actually. Maybe pun intended. But yeah shiggy getting burnt up?? And then it's like a TV screen gets turned off when AFO takes over his body?? UGH I LOVED THAT TRANSITION. What a sick way to do it. Also HELL YEAH OCHAKO AND NANA APPRECIATION LETS GOOOOOOOO (u so real about Nana tho like godDAMN she gorgeous. Plus... monscles ๐ we love buff women in this house) Anyways!! U made me laugh so much with your reactions (like u usually do but like. Idk today was more than usual! Like I could not stop giggling at almost everything) which is really nice cause im in a pain flare up (fibro) and. Its just very comforting and makes me feel better. Thank you!!! ๐ค๐ค๐ค

I can't really fundamentally disagree with a lot of your analysis, but I also think you miss the key point in her idealogy. Yes, she obviously has some issues, but she also isn't fighting just so she can become a serial killer. She's fighting because she feels rejected by the sanctimonious society around her, and she's fighting because she finally has a place she feels like she belongs. When you really boil Toga down to the core elements, she's just a sad, lonely little girl that desperately wants love and affection. Yes her powers are horrifying, but the current society should have evolved ways to deal with that kind of thing. Instead those people just get shunted aside, abused by the system, and inevitably becomes villains. It doesn't justify any of their actions, but they're also by products of the flaws in the system too. Toga isn't evil, even now she isn't actually evil. She and Shigiraki share a lot of similarities in their convictions, Toga could have been every bit as lunatic as Shigiraki if she'd had All for One whispering in her ear her whole life. But she isn't out to just slaughter people, and her reasons for coming to the league in the first place aren't the same reasons she's fighting for them now. Idealogy at this point means very little, either her kinship and loyalty to the Leauge keeps her there, or she would have already been gone a long time ago.

2025-08-06 21:41:34 +0000 UTCI really love Toga Himiko. She's so well written. I can really empathise with her so well. This encounter between her and Uraruka is typical of the series. Uraruka is having an awakening moment, which is great, but her responses to Toga's questions are so bad for Toga right now. With the right words from Uraruka, I believe Toga could totally flip and become a hero at this point but Uraruka has been through so much that she's full of righteous anger right now and ready to fight. She's also unaware of Toga's state of mind so I understand her point of view and her actions but the first time I watched this I was so angry with her and feeling so much pain for Toga, even though Uraruka is one of my favourite characters. This arc is where Toga Himiko became possibly my favourite character in the show. She's endured so much pain and there's even more to come. I cried for her. I really worried for her. The characters in this show (well, most of them) are so well written it's amazing to me that the writing could be so good for so many characters. Hats off to the creator. I'm so glad this show takes some time to explore the psychology of the characters when it can.

She's among the most evil characters in the whole show, if you think about it. She does not kill out of a misplaced sense of justice, like some others do. Nor does she destroy in order to create something new out of its ashes. She also doesn't pretend like killing is a necessary evil and she does not try to justify it in any way. She's way worse than that. She actually enjoys killing others. She likes wounding people, making them bleed through many cuts, so she can slowly watch them die. She literally gain sexual pleasure out of it, as we've seen multiple times now. Toga doesn't seem to possess the capability of truly loving someone else. In the end everything revolves around whatever gives her joy and pleasure. So what she misconstrues as 'love' is nothing more than a sick obsession to own and even become that person. If that person dies she griefs the loss, but only the loss of her capability to derive joy and pleasure from that person. She doesn't actually grief the person itself. She's narcissistic, hedonistic, impulsive, sadistic, murderous, lacking empathy, and without a conscience or any moral awareness. In short: she's the worst kind of psychopath. And this makes her a perfect and quite unique villain for the show. I never loved hating a character so much!

When shiggy was trying to shoot the deleter round and deku hit him with a Wyoming smash; in the anime it looks like shiggy caught his arm in his mouth easily, while in the Manga deku pretty much breaks shiggys bottom jaw and all of his lower teeth lol. Just look up deku Wyoming smash Manga on Google to see.
