Soul eater is apparently a sequel, or Fireforce is the prequel? I haven't watched soul eater so I have no idea how that's gonna work, but I read that they are definitely connected.

2025-05-04 13:48:09 +0000 UTCJust wanted to drop a bit of info about Stigma if you haven't already learned this elsewhere! The Stigmata is a biblical thing referring to the scars from the nails when Jesus was crucified. Specifically, there is a story somewhere about one of the apostles (or some saint at some point) "manifesting' those same scars as a sign that they were a true follower of Jesus. Thus "Stigma" is sometimes used to refer to any "holy" scar received as a mark that you've been "touched" or "chosen" by God. I've only seen it used as a general non-Christian thing in Anime/Manga so I have a feeling it was one of the many things Japan integrated into pop-culture from Catholicism (just like all the rest of the religious iconography of the Sol church.) Japan doesn't much care for western religion in general, but they do dig the aesthetics XD

2025-04-25 07:54:36 +0000 UTCYoooo you should watch soul eater, i forgot about that anime until the moon came out at the end, but i think both soul eater and fire force were made by the same person. The art style of the moon was very ‘soul eater’ Also loved this series, cant wait for season 3
