Kirishima wasn't thinking about misdirection, he was thinking about confrontation. And just like Deku's instincts help him, the instinct to pause and reconsider can be just as significant, if not more so. Courageously rushing to your death is still rushing to your own death. Make it mean something.

2025-02-23 17:41:43 +0000 UTCIts shocking when you look at the manga how censored the Red Riot fight is. In the manga the ending shot is Kirishima either with no skin left or just completely pouring out blood cause hes just a red mess in the manga from the guy Punching his skin off repeatedly.

He makes the kids feel uplifted and praises them on their strengths while letting them know their weaknesses. FatGum talking about Red Riot's chivalrous spirit brings tears to my eyes EVERY TIME. Also fun fact Fat Gum is 8'2. It doesn't always look like it but he's fucking huge.
