ik I'm late commenting on this but I ADORE both OPs, have them on my Spotify haha! I personally can't pick between them at all. Both visually and musically they're both so distinctly memorable for their own reasons.

You obviously knew "ningen" means human and other words sounded English. That is intentional. 2025-02-23 16:48:37 +0000 UTCJust want to say, many people take Light in his pure state on his hunt for Kira accomplishing here more in comparison to L as a sign that Light actually is smarter in comparison to L. That is objectively speaking incorrect and we know that due to the statements the mangaka made about these characters, but also because...well, at this point L doesn't actually give a fu** about the Kira case anymore. He was interested in it when Light was his opponent because he was interested in a fight between intellectuals. He was interested in the challenge Light presented and that is made clear right from the get-go when we first learn about L. He only takes on cases which interest him. This right here isn't really interesting to him anymore. He wants to see what *Light* has in store. And he is basically waiting for the moment everything comes back to Light. It's also why L gets kind of depressed once he realizes that the power of Kira can freely move around and switch it's owner while the previous owner doesn't have any knowledge about said power left in his or her memories. He realizes that he actually is fighting a supernatural unexplainable force which is why he basically...gives up at that point. It's not that he *LITERALLY* gives up. He just doesn't care about fighting a battle like that as long as it's not about intelligence. Psychologically speaking the new Kira is also not an opponent he is interested in fighting. To him, it's just some random business guy. Light on the other hand is intellectually almost equal to L. Yes. Almost. The mangaka said L needs to be smarter, otherwise we wouldn't have a story. Light is not smarter than L and I would argue, it's not even close considering how much luck Light had so far throughout the story while L had to do almost everything by himself. Lastly, keep in mind: Light being Kira is not something L suspects. He knows this to be the case and the reasons are all laid out throughout the show. It's stuff only L could pick up on which is why the police is his biggest enemy. From his perspective Light not being Kira anymore means that he (L) can't possibly win this battle anymore because...well, as soon as he finds the culprit and locks him or her down, they will just throw away their power. And at that point the search begins anew. From his perspective, this must be the most demotivating shit ever which is why the Kira case currently is uninteresting to him. *CURRENTLY*!

2025-02-23 14:28:40 +0000 UTCfinally you got your new OP and ED :D they went more hardcore with these :P I do like the new ones but prefer the first ones cause they fit the identity of the show better :) these poor Yotsuba fools got no chance going against both L and Light :D they really are very similar, both are willing to do anything to achieve their goal :) shame they didnt put the same thing in the subs here as they did in the dub, where when Misa says she cant live without Light and L says that would be dark xD
