Late to these reactions but loved them all! A small detail I noticed: in season 1 when Viktor is talking with Heimerdinger he says โMy contributions will be short lived, even in your memoryโ. And at the end of this finale episode, when Caitlyn is looking at the Hexgate blueprints the front page says โDesigned by Jayce Talisโ. No mention of Viktor ๐ญ

It is such a good fucking show, it's unreal how good this show is, like, a show this good shouldn't exist lmao. It is so emotionally impactful and so beautiful and so stunning. An absolute masterpiece. And I'm really glad I could see your reaction to it. And so it concludes. Until perhaps the showrunners decide to make another show hopefully lol.

There's already 3 stated projects in the works in the future for different regions in the Runeterra universe with one already being in production for a year. So, it would not be surprising that it pops out in the next year or two, so that would be really cool. You can also get an Arcane fix by watching any of the LoL lore cinematics or the music cinematics, pretty cool vibe there.

2024-12-26 19:31:53 +0000 UTCwhat is being alluded to in the last shot is that jinx actually survived. other viewers have pointed out what appears to be jinx using her shimmer related speed to escape the explosion that kills warwick/vander in the fall. then we see cait investigating the vents at the bottom of the hexgate's main shaft in what is clearly not an airship but her study that we've seen before. then we cut to a mysterious airship sailing off into the horizon as we cut to the music from the first episodeโthe episode where then powder declares that one day she's going to fly one of those ships. as we prematurely cut to a jinx coded disruption to the musical motif. idk how i feel about it. sure i love a happier ending, but it to me feels like it undercuts a little of the underlying and fundamental tragedy of powder/jinx story. she wasn't simply someone who had a tragic story, she was the very embodiment of tragedy, a living breathing jinx. though i suppose the fact that she sails off in the end alone still plays into that while still allowing her to have found some measure of peace in life. either way, it's such a beautiful and heartbreaking story.

2024-12-26 18:34:09 +0000 UTCWe mourn the death of Jinx, but it's strongly believed that ending was not the final moment for her: "I think the cycle only ends when you find the will to walk away" - Silco to Jinx S2EP8 "Sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind" - Powder to Ekko S2EP7 "One day, I'm gonna ride in one of those things" - Powder to Vi, Mylo, and Cragger S1EP1 After Jinx and NotVander fall to the ground and the monkey bomb explodes, there's a burst of pink energy shooting away from the explosion (shimmer?). We end the show w/ Cait looking thru blueprints of the air ducts while holding a piece of Jinx's monkey bomb, and a slight smirk grows on her face. Final shot of the show is an airship flying away from topside. The implications are strong, and in either interpretation, the death of Jinx is real. Just a matter of it being literal or metaphorical.

If you actually want to do that, I made a list of characters that gets you started on the lore of Runeterra. On youtube, Necrit makes fantastic videos about League characters so I recommend watching his videos about the lore (or reacting, I don't know), or just read the lore if you like reading more In Runeterra, there are multiple regions and continents, each with its own towns and cities, but Arcane is set in only ๐จ๐ง๐ complex city. ๐๐๐ค๐ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ง๐๐ฆ๐๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ; those names will lead you to a rabbit hole that makes you understand the whole world. What a journey this finale was great I just think Jayceโs death was unnecessary but all in all it was great Also everyone either died or got a bittersweet ending. Singed meanwhile got everything he ever wanted. Definitely going to miss this show

But one of those that are confirmed is Noxus, which is where Mel is going back to. So maybe we will see her again! Excited to see what they cook up.

As for this season and this episode Jace being the one holding the hammer he ultimately used to fix the cycle and Echo using the Device from alternate Piltover to prevent then end of his own was peak storytelling and I CAN'T WAIT to see what we get next, especially including the lead-out we got from this season!
