2024-12-26 09:25:20 +0000 UTCI remember reading this entire arc in back in 2009 when it originally was released and being blown away by it on the pages (and having to wait each week for 9 months until this arc was completed). It was the first time that Naruto actually felt powerful to me and that he could fight on his own against top tier opponents. I was really glad when they finally animated it and it did not disappoint. It's one of few arcs in Shippuden that I can rewatch happily. Naruto (as a series) gets hated on at times but its storytelling and big themes about love, joy, sadness and pain have always been on point. Glad to see you are enjoying this as well Flexie!!

Kind of ironic if you think about a certain phrase the fanbase loves to repeat about her And I'm not saying that to hate on her. It's kind of tragic how healing efforts in this arc were just...nullified with just 1 push. It actually would be good writing...if it would go anywhere.
