Faster than the speed of sound not light, but still this is.... a feat to put it mildly 😅 The fastest recorded tennis serve was 163.7 mph. Speed of sound at sea level is 767.3. So Yor's "delicate enough to not destroy the ball serve) was at least 4,687 times faster than fastest unassisted tennis ball ever recorded (and 5.5 times faster than "normal" strong serve among professional players). And likely faster, since it had to be above Mach 1. Personally given air resistance and not including color in analysis - I think it was easily 800 mph. If we include "color" - then we need to check how much energy would it take to ionize the air using tennis ball. Though if air was ionized, then Fiona might have been hit by weird lightening if the was a source of electrons near (I don't think static electricity from ball alone would be enough to be dangerous though)... Oooops - it seems I tangented 🤣 Thanks for reaction Flexie (almost said Fiona by mistake).
