Halloween hijinx, tumultuous turkeys, and misaligned mistletoe! These ideas for holiday cartoons came to me too late to use this year, but you might see them when the holidays roll around again. Either way, it’s always fun to share a peek inside my sketchbook.

It just occurred to me that I could potentially use that first one as a Mardi Gras comic. The next one is a very rough sketch of a Thanksgiving concept I liked. Unfortunately, I had too many good ideas for November and decided to hold onto this one for later.

This one didn’t make the cut. Unfortunately, it’s clever but not terribly funny. But I’m holding onto it in case it sparks any new ideas next Halloween.

On the other hand, I really like this Christmas cartoon idea. You’ll definitely see a re-worked version of this in December.

Here’s one you might see in a few weeks. I have plenty of January-themed ideas to work on, so it’s fifty-fifty right now.

I post a single-panel cartoon like the ones above on Mondays for my Patreon backers. You can also download a copious collection of cackles here…
