Added 2024-06-23 17:00:03 +0000 UTCLast year, the National Cartoonists Society invited Dave Kellett and me to their annual convention to do a live performance of our podcast, ComicLab. We interviewed Sarah Anderson and Jason Chatfield and had a ball!
This year, we’re doing it again, but bigger and better! On Thursday, August 22nd, Dave and I will host TWO live ComicLab shows, back-to-back, to anchor the NCS festivities! It’s all happening at the Comic-Con Museum in San Diego, and we have some truly bonkers guests lined up. Keep an eye on the NCS website for more details!
The 78th annual Reuben Awards will be held the following day. Evil Inc has been nominated in the Online Comics: Longform category, so keep your fingers crossed!
Meanwhile, here’s a special show we recorded last year. We stopped cartoonists at the show and asked them how they make creativity happen when it’s not happening naturally. We got some fantastic answers from people who conquer Writers’ Block on the regular.
