The SoH "4 Ronin Project"

Hey guys, I wanted to give you all a heads-up on an SoH-related project I’ve been working on!

The Samurai of Hyuga series doesn’t have any trailers. When I talk to family and friends about it, it’s kind of hard to explain what an interactive novel series is—and it’s even tougher to get them to install some Hosted Games app on their phone to try it for themselves!

I’ve been looking for an easier way to introduce people to SoH that requires minimal effort on their part. Reading an over 1-million word book series is a hell of an endeavor, and it’s especially intimidating to a general public who generally doesn’t read.

So I decided that I’m going to make some youtube videos. These videos will be short excerpts straight from the books: an illustrated, voiced scene that will help normies see what Samurai of Hyuga is all about.

It’ll probably end up looking like a manga-styled slideshow or something.

SoH is all about the protagonist: the ronin. With that said, I knew I couldn’t just do one video with one ronin. So I’ve decided I’m going to make four! Each of them will go through the same scene, but it’ll play out differently based on the choices they make (and their stats).

I can’t give an exact timetable for when these videos will start to come out, but Intermediate+ patrons will get early access to them a couple weeks before each of them goes public.

(Also: the next Tabletop Nights session is going to be postponed for a bit while I work on getting these out!)
