ComeCloser 0.4, early access starts now!

Dear patrons,

We are thrilled to introduce Lalago, our new character. She may live in a paradise, but she would give everything to follow you all around the world. Will you bring this cute and spicy flower with you?

With Lalago, we finally starts our early access roadmap: adding characters, environnements and stories to the game gradually. Of course, we will continue to work on the technology and gameplay as well, and you will continue to choose what comes first. A new poll will come in a few days.

Version 0.4 introduces the full early access version of the game, accessible to 12$ tier and above. "Amuse-bouche" version and the free demo will be updated as well to receive technical enhancements and bug fixes, but their content won't change much.

Hello and thank you for your feedback! To get a good tracking, your headset will need to have a line of sight to the controllers. The loop of the controller (where most sensors are) need to be outside your pocket. You can get more tips and insights in this post : https://www.patreon.com/posts/48409344 As for the low FPS (and beyond the fact that the GTX 970 is way below the minimum required ^^), the beach environment is indeed a little hard on the GPU and we have some good optimization on our todo list. An empty, abstract environment could indeed help but we already have low definition versions of the environments, used in the Quest version. We will maybe provide a lite PC version of the game using these ones, for older hardware or extra FPS lovers. Have fun!

Just picked this up, really impressive! I came for the cloth physics and stayed for everything else. Though, I do have a couple gripes (I have a GTX 970 [old!], i5 6600k, and Rift S, by the way): First, I have been having trouble with the hip tracking. I put my controller in my (gym shorts) pocket and pull out the phallus, but the thrusting goes in the opposite direction! The thrusting works if I hold the controller, but I don't know if the pocket moves differently than expected, or if the headset loses the controller. I fixed it by wearing a belt and putting my controller through it. It worked very well, but I felt like a goof, and it's awkward putting the controller in the loop and pulling it out. Second, I get super garbo frames on the island with Lalago (~10-15fps on low everything, as expected with a 970). I was wondering if it were possible to make a simple white room level where you could choose Lalago or (the other girl, sorry I forgot), and all the room has is the furniture/rock required for each of their positions. It could be a dual purpose debugging and higher frames area for everyone. Sorry if this seems a much bigger task than I understand or if you're not looking for suggestions. Otherwise I am loving what you guys are doing, and look forward to the future!

This does not sound like the correct behavior at all. The island starts with a two chapters story. First you meet Lalago in the day light, then you are teleported to the second chapter at night. After the last dialogue, two sex spots are enabled. One on the rock, and one on the sunbath. You have to locate the CC buttons to switch between the 6 poses available for now. The progression is saved on your disk. We understand that going through the story may be boring for some players and we are planning on adding a skipping option. About the motion, ComeCloser only support teleportation for the moment (plus snap turning). Depending on what controllers you are playing with, you can teleport either by pushing the stick forward, or touching the touchpad in the center area. Smooth locomotion should be available in the next version but in the meantime, teleport+snap turning should be enough to explore the scene with all the precision required. Finally, there is only one way to come back in the menu, using the "menu" button in the holo UI. it can hardly be miss-clicked since it changes color when you hover it. That being said we are always happy to enhance the player experience and your feedback is important to us. If you observe otherwise, could you please send us a report with some detailed explanations about what is going wrong, maybe screenshots and some info about your VR setup (comeclosergame@gmail.com)? Thanks!

Why is every Island Scene interrupted right after that endless boring blabla Textboxes? It always jumps to another scene with a new endless Textbox . Also that you cannot even move back with that click turning. This is a pure pain. I like the Grafics which are looking really good on a RTX 3080 but due to this the gameplay is far from anything you can enjoy currently. The Click movement makes that impossible and i do not understand that Textboxes conversations which end in a jump to another Scene instead letting me touch her. There is no possibility to even come close to be in the correct Position. And once i click the wrong Button it ends in main menue and have to start all over again with reading textboxes .

LVNDSCAPE

if there was some way to send you crash report I would be glad to do so...

Thank you very much for your report. Lalago hair not being disabled is indeed a bug, oops. That being said, disabling hair is very sad, and we may drop this option in the next version ^^ Now we have to figure out why the clothes are making some AMD GPUs crash. It happen only for some users. We haven't been able to reproduce it ourselves so far.

Ben Dum

ok, so we have progress... the crashes occur only when there are clothes! I can put everything else to high except clothing, anything else than none crashed on both stories. Also on a side note, the hair option set to none does not remove the hair on Lalgao.

I will be testing on my rig later today. 2080ti, Reverb G2 w/ valve knuckles. I will let you guys know how it runs!

Apart from using the latest Unity version, we haven't changed anything that could enhance AMD compatibility. That said, you know have new quality options to completely disable hair and/or clothes. Can you test these one and report back please?

Ben Dum

Sadly, still crashing on 5700xt...

TEFY

Gratz on getting to early access, I hope you all celebrated that :)
