Bottoms (2023) Watch Along
Added 2024-06-12 16:00:11 +0000 UTCI'm bananas for this film. 1 because one of my Director dreams is to make a film like this/Superbad of my childhood (It always turn into a Horror movie though when I think on it). But I need to get it on paper! So its great motivation to see this young amazing woman from Canada make this film. Now I wanna obsess over her!
This movie had me in stitches! Stand out performances and such a unique and awesome storyline and premise! I love how it didn't take it's self so seriously and it spun the archetypes on their heads. It also had a stunning colour palette and wonderful cinematography.

Just a stray remark, but it just went into my brain like an arrow. This Rachel Sennott and this Ayo Edebiri! Holy smokes! It's always inspiring to see something fresh, you can tell they were having a lot of fun making this one! Loved what you said about shot selection and color..... This was total cinema! Cinema 2023! I keep saying, I think 2023 was a good year for movies, definitely an interesting one! I love what you said about seeing classics and seeing where they go, and it's always great when you see something like this where they're adding something new, doing their own thing with it, making THEIR mark.

2024-06-13 04:27:47 +0000 UTCI loved it. It's a teen movie but also a satire of teen movies but they're still trying to bang the hot girls. It's like a pretzel. Part Superbad. Part American Pie. Awesome to see it from a female perspective. So great how much they sh!t on the football/jock culture. Had the players wear their uniforms including cleats the entire movie. Going to discord to recap my favorite jokes.
