Directors' Poll
Added 2024-06-04 17:59:55 +0000 UTCHey everyone! π Hope you're having an awesome day!
I know this post is a bit lengthy, but I wanted to share how I picked these movies and which ones I've already seen. You'll notice some big names like Kubrick, Spielberg, and Scorsese are missing. That's because I've watched some of their films recently, and I want to explore other directors' work for a bit. Don't worry, those legends will make a comeback on the channel soon! π
Also, you'll see no women directors hereβnot because they aren't amazing, but because I've either seen most of their work from those nominated or none at all. Unfortunately, I don't think the ones I haven't seen will win, so I'll handle that on my own! Which one will I choose? (Cue evil laughter π) It's all about balancing the scales!"βοΈ

Anderson's Magnolia is probably the most underwatched movie in the whole reactosphere. In the early film buff internet it had a stature similar to other breakouts of the time like Memento and Fight Club and American History X.

It is so unsung. I was introduced to it in a college class about gangster movies. Best class ever. LOL.
