Enjoyed your reaction. Excellent movie that that does captivate starting with the opening scene. Hooks you. I have watched this movie many times. I hate to admit it but the sick maniac Tommy being killed didn't bother me. Jimmy was a psychopath. “Jimmy was the kind of guy who rooted for the bad guy in movies.” Aspects of the second half of the movie give me dread especially in my older age but that's not a criticism of the movie. The movie is No. 9 on my list of favorite movies all time. “Jimmy and I could never be made because we had Irish blood, didn’t even matter that my Mother was Sicilian.”
