Begins ≠ Youth Episode 12 Reaction

Question of the day: What has been your favorite episode so far in this K-Drama?

Password: “time”

Today, we're wrapping up the BTS-inspired K-drama, 'Begins ≠ Youth,' with its final episode, titled 'Begins∞Youth’?

The last episode was so sad to watch, we knew something big was coming but we didn’t expect it to be Cein! Especially because he had just pranked everyone about his death...

In this last episode, time travel was finally introduced like the BU storyline, BUT it also left us with so many questions! What will Hwan do now that he knows the future? Will any of the members find happiness? What became of Jeha after jumping off the ledge? Will Haru move in with Hosu? Will the principal ever face justice? We NEED a season two! WE NEED A SEASON TWO!

We are extremely grateful to have had your company and insight throughout the series. Thank you familia for watching along with us, we hope you enjoyed it just as much as we did! We’re going to miss watching this K-drama every Wednesday with you, but we have something already in store for next Wednesday! hehe :)

Begins ≠ Youth Episode 12 Reaction

i literally got chills with this comment OMG!!!! I've always been so invested in bu but never thought of this BRILLIANT MIND

I'm just devastated with this one and I wanted to say that that scene almost at the end was clearly Hwan/Jin from the highlights reel 🤯🤯🤯 see his short hair and coat are the same, besides the place of course. I desperately need a season 2 my goodness😭😭😭😭

I think this drama captures the BU so well and the actors did phenomenal job! I don’t know if we ever gonna get another season sooner or later but the conclusion in this episode was spot on! It’s supposed to be an open ending and leave the viewers to their own interpretations. I do wish they’d put this into a more mainstream platform because these actors are amazing but I guess it has become army little treasure. My favorite moment throughout the entire series is probably when the guys ‘kidnap’ haru from the hospital to have fun at the beach! They should have kept the iconic Jin’s truck tho! Such a missed opportunity lol. And my fav episode is probably episode 2 💜 Thank you for keeping me company in watching this series as I couldn’t watch it on my own (too heavy for me to watch alone because of so many triggers!) I really enjoyed watching along with you two! 💜

Wow we finally made it to the end. Or the beginning? ;)

this ep was devastating. hwan staying back to watch them play was such a beautiful scene knowing probably the countless times he’s tried to fix everything😭 a second season is so desperately season especially since they just barely introduced the time traveling. this show was done sooooo well. i wish they could have but it on bigger, more mainstream platforms but im grateful either way.

Finally we've reached the end. While it was very hard to watch this episode, I was also pleased to see how well the BU was represented. Hosu taking the pills in front of the mirror, Jooan calling Dogeon and saying "Hyung, I miss you" and Cein smiling as he looked at the fire in that room reminded me a lot of the boys' MVs. Not to talk about how extraordinary the performances of the cast were. They played their roles very well. As for the second season, I really hope that there'll be one! I need a happy ending!!

Shadow Glow

Also guys, im planning to rewatch your reactions to the first couple of episodes but they’re blocked idk why😔

I literally cried watching every single episode it’s crazy the actors did a phenomenal job👏🏼

as i said on your last episode reaction, episode 11 is my favorite episode. this is probably up there too but it was just so painful 🤧 i wish they finished it with episode 11 instead 😅 the members' scenes happened way later when dogeon and his family has moved out of their house and the redevelopment started and the stories overlapped until cein's death. the scene when hwan stopped himself from stepping to that puddle of water is the same scene with hwan at episode 1. i think it's the drama's version of seokjin from the highlight reels when he catched the vase with flowers from falling because it fell and broke the first time and that's why he was able to stop it in another timeline. i enjoyed rewatching it with you guys thank youuuu 💜

i'm just going to assume the last scene we saw is what happened in the end, they lived happily ever after until further notice

Carol’s comment💜: Wow, familia, what a journey it was!! I'm proud to say that I didn't cry today as much as the first time I watched this episode lol, but yeah so many hard scenes to watch!! Also, to explain more to you the individual scenes we watched were from a little before and then after their encounter with each other, so their "end" it's the last thing we know, like Dogeon called Hwan to tell about Cein and he says he can't contact Jeha or Hosu (because Jeha jumped and Hosu overdosed? possibly after taking that quantity of pills), Jooan was in the prison and Haru was still in the hospital, so their end is parallel to Hwan finding out about Cein and then jumped from that place then getting stopped etc, so when he jumped Jeha had already jumped before and all, so I'm also very curious if he'll ever find the book "The Notes" and how it'll go, I also believe that the scenes in the beginning were different timelines of him trying to save Cein's mom I think since by the time he jumped he only knew about Cein's death maybe he thinks saving his mom will save him and it'll be good start to changing the future idk, I also have a lot of questions and wonders on how this will finish but for that we need more BU content lol, also the scene of Hwan on the street is the same as the first scene of the kdrama with him arriving in Songjoo for the first time!! Btw the last scene broke me fr, like the tears in his eyes watching his friends being happy and having fun knowing what will come is so 😭😭 "None of them had a happy ending" well, that's BU for you familia lol, still waiting for the happy ending of them in BU as well!! Btw since it's finished I can say now but in the BU after Jin time travelled a lot he started to lose his memories and lose himself, the same happened to his dad so I believe his dad in this kdrama too really didn't remember his past friends and wasn't just faking but idk really, there's a lot that is still open AND PLEASE WE NEED A SEASON 2 SO BADLY!!!!! P.S.: Not to be repetitive but I hope what you have planned for next Wednesday is the Namjin Live that you were going to do before pausing to dive into Begins Youth, it's one of my favorite lives so I really want to rewatch with you!! Also excited to see what we'll watch this Friday!!

eeeh i havent watched the last few ep reactions i cant wait to catch up

jenna

Ok so the time traveling didn't start til the very end of the episode. Everything you saw before was what they didn't show before Cein's death in the last episode. Remember Dogeon called Hwan to go to the funeral and that Jeha and Hosu were both in the hospital from accidents. Jeha was in the hospital because he jumped and Hosu overdosed. Jooan was in jail for stabbing his father. So this episode showed you how it led up those ends of each of those characters. So everything you see before the end was just what was going on before Hwan got that call from Dogeon. This show was soooo good I need season 2. Enjoyed watching with you guys 💜💜

Ana

IMO!!!!! Soooo as someone who is VERY deep into the BU rabbit hole, I won't leave any major spoilers in case of a season 2, but re-watch the end with Jeha again on the ledge. Look carefully at the notes and words around him. Then think of the actual BU NOTES 1 & 2 and the VERY end of XCELESTE video of the explanation summary!!!!! IMO....... Jeha is the key time traveler contractor before Jin takes over. hence Y he was tracking everyone

Cynthia Newman

well I guess first of all...thank you so much for reacting to this Kdrama!! you guys are like one of the very very very few people reacting to this and I honestly could not have wanted to watch this with anyone else. you guys were the best company and as difficult as it was to watch some scenes, im glad I wasn't alone in experiencing the same emotions as you guys. I was laughing alongside you, awwing alongside you and crying with you. I'll really miss watching this every week but I cant wait to see what you have in store for Wednesdays from now on :) 💜💜💞

oh I was not prepared for this episode....every episode is more emotional than the last AND THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE😭😭😭 I don't even know what to say im just busy crying

Hi Familia! This is it... the last episode.. I can't believe this is the last one 🫠🫠🫠 I might be able to watch it later on...(I'm currently sick huhuhu) but I still wanna comment...I WANT SEASON 2 - I don't want this to be the end.. just Hwan stuck in the time loop.. and being reminded of every tragic incident losing his friends, that's just too cruel 😭 Question of the day: What has been your favorite episode so far in this K-Drama? - I really love episodes 4 onwards. They put me in the edge of my seat. Like I found myself not breathing properly when I was watching ep 9 to 12 nonstop... 😶😶😶 but I really love the scene when Hosu and Dogeon were talking... 😭🥹

YuuChan097_OT7💜

From episode 8 to 12 had me on a mixture of emotions you know. Ceins death crushed me. Even though I knew it was coming it was very difficult to watch. Especially when Jeha was panicking calling Cein. My heart was broken the whole episode. There needs to be a season two because there's so much more things they need to cover
