I-LAND has been one of the most recommended series on this tier, and we’re excited to be watching it with you!
We believe this series will give us insight into the intense training systems and hardships trainees have to go through to become idols. 🌟 This should be eye-opening for us since we only know BTS' story as trainees and don't know about the K-pop systems.
Back in 2020, we did watch an episode featuring BTS, and now, we’re ready to start from the beginning! 🙌
**After watching this first episode, this series is so competitive and intense! We were so stressed by the end of the episode and rooting for trainees we barely knew. we felt so bad for some of them. 💔

Since I kinda know some of the members of Enhyphen n their songs. n Was kinda happy i knew some of the performance songs too.. When Zico was introduced i was literally screaming in my head BTS vs Block B the Jimin Shirtless Performance haha.. I know Zico cz of Jk singing his song Bermuda Triangle With Crush n Dean n I guess hes Friends with Joooniee Too. n Yea We all Know Rain Cz of Rainism...M gonna b a bad Boy I gonna b a bad bad boy!

2024-06-09 02:49:13 +0000 UTCI mean a lot of people didn’t like Niki for voting taki but like tbh we don’t know the extent of the friendship -they trained together for some time and taki looks like he looks up to Niki even tho taki is older but the whole editing made it seem like they were bffs 😅which is not really the case he just knows taki more than the others and since they both are from Japan they have that affinity

2024-06-04 04:53:20 +0000 UTCThere are a lot of idol survival programmes from different companies and even by different tv channels in Korea like produce 101 series but I land is unique in the way they make the contestants vote and evaluate each other so they debut with the people they get along with you’ll see how this will effect them both positive and negatively in furthur episodes but I think it’s really good cause the judges can’t rig the system in I land now however they like it

2024-06-03 22:11:09 +0000 UTCThe important thing to remember with I-Land is that these guys are young and really desperate to debut in a group. A lot of time and money is spent so tensions can be high and they may not say the right things at times but I remember that they are young.

I don't love the editing of the show, but it was so good to watch this every week during the pandemic! Also, following Enhypen's growth before and after debut is something I really enjoy.

But what I’m saying was it really didn’t translate on the early stages of the show (for me personally😊) so my first impression of him wasn’t the greatest,I just didn’t find his dancing “better” than the other trainees coz they built him up so much I had higher expectation (but editing could’ve played a part in this too tbh) but his vocals was definitely top tier and he has an established tone from the very beginning!

2024-06-02 16:33:44 +0000 UTCi think it’s fair that they favored heeseung because they’re all teenagers and he’s clearly the best there and can both sing and dance. we can talk about unfairness because we are watching from afar and not in the environment but when they’re in a high stress situation like this you’re going to want to have a person you can rely on and that is heeseung.

Heeseung truly is an ace, he excels in everything, and you would never know from the way they chopped everything up. The editing wasn’t great but the show truly brings you closer to these guys.

2024-06-02 13:06:32 +0000 UTCI was just thinking of re-watching I-land again but couldn't because it was soo stressful! haha. nonetheless, I hope you guys enjoy the ride, there's evil editing for sure because they need the show to be dramatic some of the kids got heavy hate from it at that time which makes my heart ache :( but enjoy the ride and pause if you have to read, I feel like the details are important specially when they explain the conditions/ rules for each round. TMI: the fact that all my pick/ who I voted for all debuted is crazy to me sudhjfb

I also want to point out that the translation is a little off sometimes, but I think it's the closest to the accurate translation within the contexts. Anyways... I only ever watched episode 1 (I'm an Engene and already know the final line-up), but I'm excited to watch episode 2 for the first time with you guys. Also, about the end of this episode, I heard that NI-KI is lowkey traumatized by this editing, LOL. Before the scene of him in the voting room, they kept replaying what Taki said about NI-KI and how he adores him, and then to that vote room scene... of course everyone watching would think he betrayed his friend. The editing is just... LOL. Let's see what would happen in the next episode.

But I was losing motivation to work/study and the fact that now I have something to look forward to each Sunday really cheerd me up. I hope you will enjoy it to the fullest. Keep in mind that (in my opinion ) survival shows usually a bit harsher than I-LAND . And stories about training we can't see through camera even more intense.

All of the members I really liked and support made to ENHYPEN. Since then I am a ENGENE. Their growth in these 3 4 years are crazy. Sunoo especially was my first pick and he is my Bias in Enhypen. I hope you have fun watching this and really get to know the members🙈 Have fun Familia.

Kids who are in a tough, competitive environment and don't always make the kindest decisions. It's such a cop out when people blame editing. None of the boys are awful in the show...just maybe immature or selfish at times and that's totally to be expected from 14-18 year-olds fighting for the survival of their dreams in an intense, highly scrutinized environment.

2024-06-02 07:23:44 +0000 UTCOkay, I'm just making this connection now, but Daniel gives me a little Jeha from Begins =/= Youth energy, yeah?? haha. Is it just me that gets that? haha. They could have cast him. Also, I very early on picked Jay and Sunoo as my favorites bc I felt like the other boys got a little like "clique-y cool kids" and Jay and Sunoo stood out as underdogs and for their personality. Jay's strong character and leadership and Sunoo's positivity and lack of care for being a "cool kid" really impressed me. And even now, years into their career, they're still both in my Top 3 (Ni-Ki has been added to the list off his talent alone).

2024-06-02 07:20:07 +0000 UTCi haven't watched i-land myself apart from the clips of bts that you guys had reacted to so i'm excited to watch along with you. i obviously know who ended up making it into the debut team so i'm more curious to see all the parts that lead up to their debut and also with the contestants that ended up debuting later in their own groups! although i don't follow any of them closely it would be cool to watch their growth over time p.s. i'm surprised bang pd even remembers the strong points of some the contestants let alone their names considering it look over a year for him to remember taehyung's name and they didn't even have that many trainees at the time

2024-06-02 07:16:43 +0000 UTCOh wow I remember watching iland as it was being broadcasted live and getting excited every week!! love this show but kinda hate survival shows cause of all the vulnerable states trainees have to go through on cameras but I guess that’s how it is! and one thing i wanna say is it’s not always about dance or performance familia their singing/rapping, facial expressions and potential to grow, everything counts!!! there will be many familiar faces for guest appearances familia hehe! so excited! I don’t stan enhypen now, not intentional but kinda lost touch with them.. but am happy getting back into them again with you guys!!! let’s go!

I'm not gonna lie, when I first watched this I held a huge grudge against Niki for that betrayal towards Taki lol. Taki clearly still needed some improvement, so it's valid and it is a competition after all.

I watched this for the first time in december 2023 so only like 6 months ago lol which is why ive been so annoying about wanting u guys to watch it cus its still fresh for me lol. But i immediately got so into enhypen after and theyre one of my ults and i saw them in concert In april of this year (they were amazing)!! Im happy you guys enjoyed and i cant wait to see more. Also i was also super annoyed when i first watched this bc of how over edited the entry tests were, i wish we couldve actually had a good first look at their talents but i feel like it gets better over the rest of episodes.

You get a clear look at the raw skill and then two months later, they're somehow doing professional stages with flawless vocals...It was enlightening. haha. But I like both the teams that came from this series. &Team is the most exciting group for me since TXT, I think. Some good idols in this group. And lots of strong dancers.

2024-06-02 04:11:26 +0000 UTCits a good thing to keep in mind during iland that this is a bunch of teens, some as young as like 12 years old (the show is using korean age when saying ages so niki for example wasnt 16 but actually 14 on iland), competing in a highly stressful competition where theyre monitored and watched 24/7...like obviously not all of them will make the best choices (i didnt make the best choices as a teen without all of those excuses lol)
